In June, the Junior League of the Grand Strand opened the Little Free Library at McLeod Park. The library providers children’s books to the neighborhood, where more than 25% of families live below the poverty level. In the six months the library has been installed, more than 600 books have been distributed.
Help us keep the library stocked! At our November General Membership Meeting, we will be collecting new and gently loved books.
Looking for where to get books? Most of our local libraries sell books, some as low as .25 cents or $5 for a bag or check out the local thrift stores.
