Become a Driving Force of Change Within Your Community

We currently accept new members from April 15-May 31. When new members apply, they are invited to join a class that provides them with the tools and information they’ll need to play a crucial role in the Junior League of the Grand Strand’s community goals.

• Pay Dues + New Member Fee. This covers New Member Training course cost, local membership dues to the Junior League of the Grand Strand, as well as membership dues to
• Attend a New Member Training sessions. This three hour training session is filled with information you’ll need as an informed member of JLGS. You will meet other New Members, learn about the Association of Junior Leagues International, and learn specifics about the Junior League of the Grand Strand. New Members will receive information on requirements, dates for events and the structure and operational mechanisms of the League at this training.
• Participate in a New Member Experience Project. New Members participate in the planning of a New Member-specific community project with guidance from current League members. Participation includes attendance at planning meetings and any necessary committee meetings.
• Attend General Membership Meetings. GMM’s are a chance for the entire League to get together and go over current issues, events and enjoy special guest speakers. They are also a great way to socialize with other members of the League. GMM’s are currently held monthly from September to May.
• Attend League Events & Opportunities. New Members are asked to attend general League events and volunteer opportunities. This is a great way to plug into our community through volunteering, mingle with other members at socials and help raise funds for the League through fundraising initiatives.
• Applicants must be 21 years of age or older to be eligible for membership. The next open enrollment period will begin in April 2024.
• Applicants must reside within Horry and Georgetown County
  • Note- most events and meetings are centrally located in the Myrtle Beach area.

NEW Member Options:
A) 2024-2025 New Member Dues: $205
Member Dues ($155) plus New Member Fee ($50)

B) 2024-2025 New Member Buyout Dues: $523
New Member Dues ($155) plus New Member Fee ($50) plus Member Hours Buyout ($318) for a total of $523
(The Buyout rate is calculated at $31.80/ hour per the Value of a Volunteer Hour National Rate)

Returning Members :
A) 2024-2025 Returning Member Dues: $155.00 

B) 2024-2025 Returning Dues with Member Buyout: $473
Returning Member Dues: ($155) plus 10 Member Hours Buyout ($318) for a total of $473
 (The Buyout rate is calculated at $31.80/ hour per the Value of a Volunteer Hour National Rate)

Open Enrollment Window: April 15-May 31
Late Registration Fee (after May 31, no later than June 30): $25

Membership Scholarship

Need to request a dues scholarship? APPLY HERE

This form may be used by any incoming or active members who are committed to the JLGS mission and will actively participate in the league, but are unable to meet the full dues requirement and want to request a dues scholarship.

Payment plans may also be requested annually by reaching out to treasurer@grandstrand.jl.org.

Applications for scholarship must be submitted by May 31st and you will be notified by June 14th on the scholarship decision based on funding.

All scholarship or payment plan requests are considered confidential.

The Junior League is a Highly Respected Organization with an Extraordinary Legacy

Founded in 2020, the Junior League of The Grand Strand is one of the newest Junior Leagues in the country. The Junior League is a highly respected organization with an extraordinary legacy that you can be a part of. We’re committed to making a powerful impact in Horry and Georgetown Counties by developing women’s civic leadership skills and collaborating with like-minded women on important efforts. We welcome all women who value our Mission.
Together, we are working to empower our members to give back to the community by helping to provide educational opportunities to children. Our Little Free Library was installed in June 2022 at McLeod Park (6000 Longleaf Dr.) in Myrtle Beach to support literacy initiatives in our area. We partnered with the City of Myrtle Beach to host a Polar Express event in December 2022 & 2023 where children received books and families enjoyed holiday cheer. We are also committed to our goal of conducting a Community Scan in our 2023-2024 league year to pinpoint how our group can best serve our community.
