Junior League Grand Strand is excited to host our second annual Great Cookie Exchange Fundraiser — a one-night social gathering where home bakers from across the Grand Strand gather to taste, exchange, and take home delicious holiday cookies.
Funds raised from the event will support the mission of Junior League Grand Strand (JLGS). At Junior League Grand Strand we live in the moment. To us, that means adjusting our focus according to our community’s most pressing needs. Our work is always evolving, and that keeps us on our toes, striving for progress, and preparing to take on whatever comes next. Our goal is to help Grand Strand women develop civic leadership skills through the work they do, then put those talents to work in the communities that need it. JLGS is creating real change in the Grand Strand by advancing social activism-focused projects that directly benefit our local community! We make a positive impact through effective action and leadership.

Junior League Grand Strand is an organization of women whose mission is to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training. We partner with nonprofit organizations along the Grand Strand such as Sea Haven for Youth, New Directions, SOS Care, and Young Life.
We hope we can count on your support by partnering with us to facilitate positive change for our community. Please reach out to funddevelopment@grandstrand.jl.org if you have any questions.
How many cookies do I have to bring?
All of our registered bakers are required to bring four (4) dozen cookies. Cookies must be drop-off by 1:30 PM on Sunday, December 7th, in a labeled disposable container. You will not be getting these containers back. Additionally, be sure three (3) dozen of your cookies are individually wrapped to keep things sanitary! For the one (1) dozen remaining, please cut into pieces for the cookie tasting!
What type of cookie can I bring?
Whatever type you want!! We’re expecting cookies of all types- from decorated sugar cookies, cookie bars, shortbread, chocolate chip and more! The possibilities are endless. You are even welcome to make brownies or bars! I am sure we will get a few repeats, but it is likely your recipes will be different.
Can I bring more than one flavor of cookie?
Yes! You may register as many cookie flavors as you like, but please understand you are committing to bringing four (4) dozen of each flavor you register. If you purchase more than one registration, you will be able to take home two (2) dozen for each ticket you purchase.
What if I want to attend but I do NOT want to bake cookies?
If you plan to attend, but do not want to bring any cookies with you, please plan to purchase a non-baker ticket – also called a TASTER TICKET. These general admission tickets will include: access into the event, one cookie box to take home, and two (2) dozen cookies. ***Please note this is an exclusive ticket, in limited supply. We are currently sold out but plan to release more December 1-6. Stay tuned for the addition of this ticket type.***
What happens if I change my mind prior to the event on what type of cookie I want to bring or what if I want to change my recipe after registration?
Please note that we are making custom labels for your cookies so if you have a change in cookie name/recipe/allergen, you must notify thegreatcookieexchange@grandstrand.jl.org before November 30th. We will not accept any changes after Sunday, November 30th, but will make sure allergen information is correct, even on event day at drop-off.
What if I can’t come, can I get a refund on my ticket?
While tickets are non-refundable, your purchase still makes a meaningful impact. If you’re unable to attend, we’ll gratefully treat your ticket as a donation in support of Junior League Grand Strand’s mission. Your contribution helps us continue creating lasting change in our community — and for that, we’re truly thankful. ?
